Seeking to Expand the Campus of
Messiah Theological Institute (MTI) |
The Mbale Mission Team(MMT) offers Bible training to Kenyan, Ugandan, and
Sudanese church leaders, but the dream that MMT has for
Messiah Theological Institute (MTI) is to
add bachelors and masters level training for students in Bible and theology.
Fulfillment of this dream will require the acquisition of additional property
for the expansion of the MTI campus. Several
nearby pieces of property are available, some of which already have
buildings on them. The land and buildings available range in price from about $3,000
to $50,000 each. |
|
This school building and land are available for
$45,000
 |
We have a contract to purchase
this school and will take possession of the property in January 2004. When
renovated, we will use it for our main MTI campus and our mission offices. |
| The owners of this school
and land agreed to reduce the price from $45,000 to $36,000! Current
fund-raising for the school property continues well. As of January
2004 we have raised almost $98,000 for the
purchase of the land and to make necessary renovations.
Additional contributions may be sent to Quaker
Avenue Church of Christ, 1701 Quaker Ave. Lubbock, Texas 79416. Mark checks:

This building is available for $25,000

|
When purchased and renovated, this building could provide
dormitories for the students who attend Messiah Theological Institute (MTI).
It is adjacent to two pieces of property (to the left and the front of the
building) already owned by the Mbale Mission Team. |
|
This land is available for $2,800

|
This land is strategically located in proximity to land
already owned by the Mbale Mission Team and is one of many pieces desired
for the expansion of the MTI campus. |

|
This building sits between two pieces of land already owned
by the Mbale Mission Team, and is immediately adjacent to the largest part
of the current MTI campus. Please pray with us for a sale price to be negotiated with
the owner. |

The Mbale Municipal Council, impressed with the land
already developed by the Mbale Mission Team, has offered two pieces of
property at no cost if the mission team will agree to develop them for the
benefit of the community.
One section of land, includes a natural spring (see photo at left) where
the surrounding community obtains water for their daily needs. This
development would be approximately $3,000. The
second portion of land, full of dilapidated market stalls, requires the team
to submit a proposal for $50,000 worth of improvement. |
